Individual Psychotherapy and Network Meetings in the Spirit of Open Dialogue

I am offering individual psychotherapeutic consultations and, in cooperation with a colleague, also "network meetings" in the spirit of open dialogue. Unlike individual consultations, network meetings usually include the participation of a partner, parents, children, or other close and supportive persons.

Who I am

I was originally trained in psychology and psychotherapy. Later I completed doctoral degree in sociology which brought me tools for critical reflection of my original field and practice. As a therapist, I completed experiential training in daseinsanalysis and then training in Open Dialogue. I am currently finishing comprehensive training in daseinsanalytic psychotherapy and I am attending a supervision training program in dialogical practice.

I am a candidate member of the Czech Association for Psychotherapy and a member of the coordination team of the International Network for Dialogical Practice. At present, together with colleagues, I am working towards establishing a cooperative that will be able to provide psychotherapeutic care in a sustainable way.

I live in Brno with my partner, cats, and a garden. I enjoy forest trips, hiking in the mountains, running, and climbing rocks.

How I work

The aim of my work is to create space for conversation where I can continually "in-understand" - that is to enter your situation by means of a newly emerging understanding that we share. This does not mean being able to see the situation through your eyes or to be in your shoes. It is, however, possible to look around together, with the intention of helping to glimpse something that previously could not be seen.

In my view, challenging situations that we experience are not solely an individual matter. When feeling down, trapped, or distressed in various ways, this always happens in the context of current and sometimes also past relationships. That is why in therapeutic meetings I often address people from the wider relational network, even if they have already passed away or are otherwise absent and distant.

Much of the burden and pain also arises in connection with various forms of inequality, discrimination, and more or less visible oppression that our society enables and reproduces. The burden can also be felt in various ways also in relation to the environmental crisis. In my understanding of psychotherapy, reflecting on alle these connections is an integral part of the therapeutic work. As I believe that psychotherapy can contribute to efforts that aim at creating a more just world.

Network meetings

In order to understand what is happening in crisis and other challenging situations, it sometimes makes sense to work not only with individuals, but directly with the entire relational network where a person belongs. For this purpose, so‑called network meetings are organized in some forms of mental health care. In addition to the person in crisis, their close ones can also take part. This is usually a partner, parents or siblings. However, a partnership or family relationship is by no means a requirement; it is possible to invite any potentially supportive person.

Price of services

I work with pricing based on the financial possibilities of clients. This means that those who can afford to pay more create space for someone else who can currently afford to pay less. The prices listed below are an imaginary middle ground that can serve as a guideline. The final price will be agreed upon based on your assessment of your current possibilities and my current possibilities to lower the price as needed.
